Removing armrests from Steelcase Leap chairs

Aha! It IS possible to remove armrests from Steelcase Leap chairs. I'm a bit short so they weren't working out quite right.

I couldn't figure out how to do it, but finally got a pdf of instructions from the manufacturer. See attached. Hope this helps a fellow sufferer...

Words of caution, sent to me by their support team:

Attached is an assemble direction that describes removing the covers I described earlier and how to release the arm assemble from the base. If you are planning on replacing these covers use caution when removing it is easy to break them.  As described earlier no-arm covers are available through Steelcase dealers.
